The Patchwork Food Company of Ruthin have today launched their range of Vegan pates for the food service sector across the UK. The range of four Vegan pates will be available to restaurants and caterers across the country and will provide them with delicious alternatives for the ever-growing Vegan trade.

Rufus Carter, Managing Director, said

“Veganism is a trend that cannot be ignored by the food trade and we are delighted that we are able to respond quickly to consumer trends and deliver pates for Vegan menu options across the UK. We have been making pate for over 35 years and are keen to support the food service trade with tasty Vegan options”.

The company is launching 4 different flavours of pates in its Vegan range: Red Lentil & Sundried tomato with Chilli; Brown Lentil, Mushroom & Garlic; Brown Lentil & Hazelnut; and Red Pesto. This comes in a year when ‘Going Vegan’ is predicted to be the biggest food trend of 2018. A recent UK survey found that over 542,000 people are following a Vegan diet, an increase of 3.5 times in the last decade. The movement is being driven by Millennials indicating that growth is likely to keep increasing. In total 1.68 million people in Britain are either Vegetarian or Vegan.

Patchwork Foods is by no means a novice at making the Vegan pates as they have been making Vegan Brown Lentil pates for over 30 years now. They even have an award for their Vegan Red Pesto pate having fought off stiff competition from over 10,000 other producers to win a golden fork for Wales 2014 from the Guild of Fine Food retailers. The company also produces Mushroom Marmalade Relish for food service, which is also Vegan. Patchwork Foods has an extensive range of main line pates and specialist ones in different sizes and portions. With over 80 innovative awards being presented to Patchwork it is not surprising that they are leading the way in the supply of the food service trade with their Vegan pates.
